i have grown

much to the dismay of my brother Bobby D. Chedwick, (turning to look at me in this photo) i have grown to be his size now. i have always loved wrestling with him and he always gave in, even when i was small because i am feisty and he is very very mellow. he has to be careful, and watch his back, because i love to pounce on him when he least expects it. he will not grow any bigger but i will, and he will be   the little guy   again. will i ever stop pouncing on him? it's such great fun i wonder why he dislikes it so much. he might be way too mellow.

eddy chevalier, not the little guy anymore.

I'm glad for you Eddy. I am a small person myself and it must feel great to pound on people who were bigger than you at first. Cheerio old chap. Go right along!

We think Chedwick will be mellow, no matter what size you grow to, Eddy!

That's awesome, Eddy! Do you pounce on Dennis, too? My new brother Harley is always pouncing on me. I do not enjoy it.

You are getting to be a big and handsome cat aren't you.

My goodness, but you have grown!

And still growing!

Are you aspiring to be as big as Dennis?

Bigger, even?

You're awfully, awfully handsome. But then, you're lucky enough to be a tuxedo cat, and I've never met a tuxedo cat yet that was anything less than absolutely dashing and Cary Grant handsome.

May I ask what that white object is protruding into the photograph from the left side? I enlarged the photo but can't identify that strange white thing. I thought it was a stockinged foot...but it isn't, is it?

(Elmo's never really forgiven Bob for getting heavier than him. Elmo's a taller cat and bigger boned, but he's 12 pounds and Bob, the smaller-boned cat is back down to 16 pounds--after briefly visiting the rather enormous weight of 20 pounds. It must suck in the cat world to be the king of the mountain only to have some young whippersnapper come along and outgrow or outweigh you, you know?)

the thing in the picture is part of my carpeted cat tower. i have controlled it since i arrived here.

i pounce on everybody. they are all a little wary of me when i pass by. i am not as bitey as i was.

Pouncing is the most fun ever, paws down. Pouncing and grappling combined is called "doing the Godzilla dance".

Glad to hear that bitey thing is waning.

No one likes the bitey thing.

The pouncing thing, most folks (feline and human) can live with.

The bitey thing, not so much.

That's what happens, Eddy, when you eat up all your dinner like a good boy, and you grow and grow and grow!
